Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone that sent me encouragement and donated to One Home Many Hopes. As I ran through the sweltering streets of Dublin, I felt the wind on my back of support from all my lovely family and friends.

The race was long and HOT and packed with 40,000 other ladies. I didn’t quite run the entire thing (I couldn’t have for the first 3K even if I wanted to because it was so crowded). But I did run very fast through the last 2K and across the finish line (to the tune of The Kinks, Victoria).

Highlights: Water station (finally) at 7K, getting hosed down by the Dublin fire brigade, and a mint chocolate Corinetto to celebrate!

Lets raise money to support One Home Many Hopes!

I'm running the Flora Women's Mini Marathon to raise money for One Home Many Hopes, a home for orphaned girls in Mtwapa, Kenya.

Sponsor my run!

It's a 10K. So for $1 per kilometer, the girls can get new toys. And for $5 per kilometer, a young girl can go to school for a month.

Keep in Touch!

When you donate to OHMH let me know by posting a comment or emailing laurendare[at]gmail[dot]com.
